It can be hard to tell if it is an older cat. The spay scar fades with time and many vets can't tell for sure even if they shave the belly to look for a scar.
Of course if she doesn't go into heat then you can be sure she was spayed.

Take her to the vet to see if she's been spayed.
And in America, cats are not tattooed with a spay branding. So don't go looking for a tattoo with a line through it, it just aint gonna be there.

Take the kitty to the vet. That's the only way to be sure if a cat is spayed or not.

A desexed cat or dog either male or females SHOULD have a tattoo in one of the ears to show this. It is normally has a circle with a line though it. At lest this is what happens in australia.
Thank you Chloecat for the info that this doesn't happen in the U.S. Very silly in my opinion.

look under her tail, her ****** will be closed up. if u can't tell from that take her 2 your local vet.
