You feel mentally superior? It would suck to go through life thinking you were superior than others simply because you lacked spiritual understanding. Damn, I'm so jealous of you! You get to spend your life angry at the thought of God and that makes you feel superior in your mind?
You are so intelligent! with your intelligence you ought to be able to make a difference in the world. What have you done for humanity and the earth? With all your intelligence I'd loved to hear about what you have done with it.
But really if it makes you feel superior to believe God doesn't exist that is your belief, but in reality you are no mentally superior than anyone...have you ever seen the talk show where the woman was 400 pounds, bald, and missing teeth but she insisted despite the audience booing her that she was the most beautiful woman in the nation?
It is all in the mind of the beholder!

If you feel mentally superior, then, good for you, give yourself a pat on the back. I'm still amazed by questions of this nature, I mean, so you don't believe in God, you have no way of proving that He does not exist, but fine, we all have free-will and can form opinions, congrats! Is there really a point to this question?

Why do you feel superior to us, Tom? is it because we believe in God, and since you don't, you are? gee, I'm a home schooled Catholic, who's 16 years old, however, I understand that you made several errors in your question...1. 'god' should be capitalized
2. oops should be followed by an exclamation point...(this thing> !)

Superior? Anyone who would visit a religion site where there are people who want to learn how to accept and care for their fellow humans and make such insulting, self centered remarks cannot be too smart.
Your childish comment reveals some very deep seated insecurity that causes you to feel the need to make yourself better than others.
You must be a horribly miserable person to lower yourself to such debasing sophomoric tactics.

You feel mentally superior because your are looking at all this materialistically. However, if you enter the spiritual realm, you will be overwhelmed by a lovely sense of humility where everyone is loved equally. In this place, neither mental or physical superiority exist.

I would submit that you are just as ignorant and blinded by your own arrogance as a lot of Christians. There are plenty of people in science that believe in a God.

Maybe, because religion is not backed up by any scientifically proof. Just a guess! However it shouldn't make you mentally superior, because everybody can believe what ever they want to.
You need to learn to be more accepting to other human beings.

How smart can you be? I mean if some madman believed the moon was made of cheese anyone in their right senses wouldn't even bother to argue with them. In the same way if God is a figment of our imagination why bother coming here......unless you are not fully convinced. The truth is out there.
