why do many christians argue that Allah is not the christian god and base their argument on the divinity of jesus, his claim to be the son of god and being the Messiah.
they acknowledge the Jewish God as the same god as the Christian god, when Judaism denies the divinity of jesus, denies his prophecy and his claim to be the son of god and the Messiah!!!
i see contradiction here!!
judaism and Islam both deny the divinity of jesus and the claim of him being the son of god.
Islam acknowledges Jesus as a prophet and messanger of god, acknowledges his miraculous birth as well is the miracles he performed.
what makes the jewish god THE god and not the Muslims ???

my christian brothers and sisters please explain this to me!!
thanks!!

to Gary!!
you are sadly mistaken sir! Islam acknowledges the Psalm,Torah and Gospel all three of them only that there has been some misinterpretations and YOU know that. You can't tell me they ahvent been changed over time and translation.

it's only people's misinterpretations of what they read. every verse, message has different meanings, approaches, understanding to one and all. some are often than not misundestood. most common are metaphoric symbolism encrypted in the bible (or the torah and qu'ran for that matter).

if you interpret it your way, that doesn't necessarily meant i read it or understand it your way too. i may have different comprehension of what both of us have read, and may have different understanding too. like say, if i ask someone to jump on top of a building... it may be interpreted as someone jumping off the building... but what i meant was just to jump not necessarily off the building... so treading on misinterpretations are often dangerous and debatable, subjected to arguments too.

islam and judaism denies jesus divinity, true... they see him as a prophet. that is their conception of jesus. to christians, he is the son of god... to other beliefs, just a man. so different interpretations.. but there is something in common there and that should be the focus. that he existed, that he preach the gospel of the lord which is the most important thing, right. forget about what they interpret on his stature, the messages is what that matters...

The God of Christianity is also the God of Judaism, but it's the fuller revelation of God. And of course Jews deny the divinity of Jesus. That's part of the definition of being Jewish! If they accepted him, they would be Christians. Also, one of the main differences between the Christian and Muslims gods is the Trinity vs. Tawhid factor. In Christianity, God is three persons comprising one God (NOT three gods; we never have claimed that nor ever will). In the Jewish Scriptures, there are evidences (especially in Genesis and Psalms) of God's triune nature.

The Muslims are very close to being like the Jewish Pharisees who went into a rage when Jesus claimed to be God or the Messiah.
However, there is a distinction in that Islam rejects the Old Testament Scriptures which all prophesied Christ's coming.
The Jews accept O.T. as God's Word but simply did not recognize the Messiah...whereas the muslims refuse to accept the old testament as God's revelation and have SUBSTITUTED THERE OWN book 600 years after Christ, which clearly contradicts both old and new testaments.

It doesn't take much reading of the texts to see that God and Allah are not the same.

You may have heard this saying before, and it's true -- Allah wants your sons to die for him. God gave His son to die for you.

Islam teaches hate, while Christianity teaches love. Islam is a false religion with false prophets, whereas you won't find a single inaccurate account of history or unfulfilled prophecy within the Bible (except of course for those prophecies which have yet to be fulfilled, and they are shrinking in numbers all the time. Read the Word and then look at the news sometime, it's incredible!).

IMPORTANT: "Be good" is good advice, but it's not the way to get to heaven. We've all sinned so we're all going to be judged and found guilty, unless we accept Christ as our savior. He is the only way.

(If you steal a car one day and spend the next 10 days giving to charity, will a judge let you off the hook for stealing the car?)

Jesus was what Christians believe was the promised Messiah that was prophesied in the Old Testament. When Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah they reject what we Christians believe is the basis to our faith and salvation. That's why the Apostle Paul went to preach to the Gentiles. Most Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah. This despite that fact that most Christians at the time of the early church and including Jesus himself were Jews. Up to the point before Jesus came to the Earth Christians believe the Jews were waiting for their Messiah. He was the child of promise. When Jews reject Jesus they do not follow the same God as us.
Muslims do not follow the same God as us for many reasons. They believe that their god Allah doesn't need a son. In fact they consider it blasphemy to say such a thing. The god of Islam is not the God of the Bible. They are 2 separate gods with different natures. In fact some would argue that Allah was the name of a pagan god during Mohammed's time. We Christians also do not accept their Prophet's claim to prophet hood. In fact we believe he was a false prophet.

The Allah that is worshiped may have started out as God of the Jews & Christians but the Muslim faith has gotten way off track. Muslins come from Abraham just as Jews did.

You are correct. There is only one God, and Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship him. I am a Catholic and here is what my church teaches us about Muslims:

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."

Don't worry to much about religion. Believe in one GOD, in your heart. You do not need to go to church to worship. That is simply a place to impress people. Love GOD with your actions. Donate time to charities. Donate money to help refugees. Those are the things that matter and that GOD looks at. Not who went to church or which is the correct religion. Be GOOD

It is all the same God and the Muslims don't believe they are worshipping a separate God and I as a Christian do not thing either are worshipping a seperate God. People have a bad habit of considering anyone who calls God by another name (like Allah) to be worshipping some other God. The Jehovah Witnesses worship the same God but because they say Jehovah and not "God" people think they're not worshipping the same God as all the other monotheists.

You can choose to fight or choose to live in peace.

There is only one God.

Jesus was a man.
Was he the messiah?

Well now, that's debatable.

I believe that he is the son of God.
I am a daughter of God.
Am I a messiah? No.
Was Jesus the most perfect human? Yes.

Acknowledge Jesus or not.
He was.

Acknowledge God.
He is.

Listen to your heart.
