i know i should exercise daily at least 30 min. i know i shouldn't give in to all my cravings and eat more than 2500 calories a day. why is it so hard for me to DO it tho? i find myself overeating and then regretting it later...and getting tired and "not having enough time". what's a good way to start a healthy overall lifestyle??

losing weight is a biologically simple process... you have to burn more calories then you take in. soooooo... you have to change your daily routine in one of two (or both) areas... intake (make it less) and calorie burning (make it more). the tough part is changing your daily routine. it will be tough for a week or two until the changes become the norm. write yourself a "projected daily routine" include your meals. just like a spending budget...stick to your schedule...keep it full, but don't overdo it. try not to leave yourself down time. don't be too hard on yourself if you don't stick to it 100%, but you do have to try. one of my favorite "bumper-sticke" sayings is "if you want to change something in your life, you have to change something in your life".

Hiya, I'm 16 And I Completely Know What You Feel Like. Ok All These 'Diets' Are Pointless. Dont Try Those Diets In Magezines Or The Special K One Or What Have You.. The Thing You Really Need To Do Is Just Eat Healthy. Dont Starve Yourself And Never Skip Meals Because That Slows Your Metabolism. So Just Say You Skip Breakfast, That Means Your Lunch Will Be Stored As Fat. Eat Little And Often, Make Sure You Eat A Big Breakfast In The Morning Like I Find Bran Flakes With A Banana Fills Me Up And Keeps Me Going. Then Like Two Hours Later, Have A Apple, Another 2 Hours Later, Have Something Else Small. And Make Sure Ye Have A Good Proper Dinner :) Eat Something Small Every 2 Or 3 Hours :) Drink Lots Of Water Aswell And I Find Green Tea Helps Speed Up Metabolism. As For Exercise, I'm Not A Gym Person Myself, And You Dont Need To Run Or Anything, Just Go For A Walk A Day For Around 30-45Mins. Seriously It WIll Do You The World Of Good, Buy A Skipping Rope Aswell, And Skip For A While, And Try Swimming, It Works Every Muscle In Your Body So Its The Best Form Of Exercise, And Invest In Some Small Weights For Like Your Arms, Its Little Things Like That Which Will Help. Dont Weigh Yourself Every Day Too, Just Once A Week. And Do It At The Same Time Every Day You Weigh Yourself Cause You Weigh Different Things Different Times Of The Day Have Patience Too. You Wont Loose Weight Over Night, It Could Take A Few Weeks To Notice A Difference, Or A Few Months, But It Will Be Worth It, Hope This Helped, Good Luck XD x

SENSIBLY. Okay here it is. As a wellness coach, I recommend writing out your goals and reasons why first, that will be your fuel to help you stay focused during the program you choose. Start off with a body cleanse and lose 7-10 lbs naturally and feel awesome doing it. Then go into a light exercise program (one that works for you). Hope this helps. If you want more information on cleansing, I can get you in touch with one of our top female coaches. Take care.

Ok here goes but mind you its a healthy diet. Its not fast. It works on each person differnt. It will work and you be the most healthy person ever.
The basic goal is to remove the toxins from our body, thats most of the wieght we have anyway.
Here's what you do.
Eat only fresh fruit in the mornings as for breakfast, the fruits is what helps clean our bodies, you can drink juice if you want but only fresh home made juice ( Not from a can or bottle) Around lunch time you'll want to eat above ground veggies like corn, peas and green beans. Those kind of veggies. These are what gives us energy during the day. Please nothing from a can. They won't do u any good at all.
Supper time you'll want to eat those veggies grown below ground like carrots and potatos. Here's the catch The only thing you can cook is the potatos and I would suggest slowly baking those, Everything needs to be eaten raw. The heat in cooking kills the things we need to make us healthy. Nothing processed at all is allowed you'll be defeting the purpose. only clean water to drink ( no tap water , thats some nasty stuff ) no coffee no tea no beer or whiskey no soft drink of any kind.. Abosolutley nothing that is processed and at your best don't cook any of it. at least if you have to cook it cook at extreamly low heat and not for any lenght of time. Oh you can have peanuts almonds ectt... raw no salt sorry no salt or butter to any foods either.
Your trying to remove the toxins and you will lose wieght. when the body rids itself of all the toxins you should gain a little back to where you are suppose to be.
I hope this helps and keep me posted.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 10.5 pounds and 17 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 25 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing toxins from your body. You get toxins from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The toxins get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the toxins. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck!

What do you mean you have no time even for 30 minutes' worth of exercise? Cut back somewhere else to set aside this time. You have to be disciplined about this. Just do it and don't make excuses. Same thing about overeating or eating the "wrong" kinds of food. You have to change your eating habits. You can't lose weight by wishing it away.

Top weight loss tips

Today there is too much information available on losing weight that has become more confusing and sometimes difficult to follow. It’s actually very easy to lose weight if you follow my weight loss tips.

* Be in right frame of mind
Before you can start any diet program you need to be in the right frame of mind. If you do not feel good about yourself you probably will not want to choose healthy foods. You cannot expect the act of going on a diet to make you feel better about yourself. The only way you can choose to eat a healthy diet to lose weight is if you have a positive self-image.

* Eat whole food
Top weight loss tips
Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine.

* Eat fresh fruit
Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season.

* Drink enough water
Drink the best weight loss supplement known to man, water. Most people do not know the difference from being hungry for food or thirsty for water. A great deal of times people eat when they should drink. Most likely you will not feel as hungry if you are getting enough water. You will be satisfying the thirst, which is confused for hunger. Water also helps you digest food better. Drinking water before you eat will help fill you up.

* Always chew your food
Always chew your food well. Chewing your food well will ensure that you get the most nutrients out of your food. Getting the most nutrients will satisfy your body therefore you will eat less. Another benefit of chewing well is that it helps aid in digestion.

* Take small meals
Eat small, frequent meals in a day. Large meals tax your digestion system, making it work harder. Taking too much time in between meals makes you hungrier for the next meal.

* Include protein at meal
Include good sources of protein at meal, chicken, fish, legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt.

* Shut off TV while eating
Shut off the TV whenever you eat – that includes meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories!

* Increase your physical activity
Increase your physical activity. Most people are over weight because of a lack of physical activity. Start walking more, bicycling, walks your dog for longer periods of time, swim, dance and leave the car at home when you can. It’s important that you choose a physical activity that you enjoy because you’ll stick with it.

Aerobics to Lose Weight

To reduce body fat, you should burn more calories than the calories you consume. This causes a calorie deficit, resulting in a fat loss. You can achieve this objective in two ways: consuming fewer calories and burning calories by exercising. Though people choose either of the ......

About 2 1/2 years ago I got concerned about my weight and looked into a lot of diets. I found 1 that had more science behind it than any other. It is called Calorie Restriction (CR).

I have followed it for most of the last 2 1/2 years. It is the best eating change I ever made.

I quickly lost 30 lbs, about 1 to 2 lbs per week, more loss than that is unhealthy. So your 15 lbs will be gone in 2 to 4 months.

The diet has only 2 rules:

1. Cut your calories, a lot - 20% to 30%

2. Make sure you are getting 100% of your nutrition.

You can eat anything you like, as long as you do the above.

The hard part of this is not cutting calories, it is keeping track of the nutrients. Shortly after I eat something, I jot it down on a piece of paper I carry with me. Every day or couple of days I take the pieces of paper and figure out my nutrition for each day.

This website is great for getting nutrition information on most foods:

http://www.nutritiondata.com/

The thing is, the scientific articles on this diet do not focus on the control it gives you over your weight. They focus on the fact that animal experiments on species after species result in the animals being much healthier on this diet (less cancer, less heart disease, less nuerodegenerative disease, less diabetic disease, etc) and, even more amazing, animals live much longer. For mice and rats it is 30% or more longer than the longest lived animal not on the diet. The National Institutes of Health, private companies, and universities are all researching why this diet works. That's why over 600 scientific papers have been published on CR in the last decade.

No one knows if this increase in longevity will occur in humans, but the health effects occur pretty quickly - lower cholesterol, lower LDL, higher HDL, stronger heart muscle, etc.

One result I found of keeping track of my nutrition is that rather than worrying about weight, I focus on what % of my RDA I am getting for each nutrient and how many calories I have each day. Weight becomes much less of a concern. Instead of worrying "Did my weight go down?", I worry "How do I get more zinc? How do I cut more calories and still get my calcium?". It is a much healthier and more satisfying concern. You can change your nutrient levels in a day. The weight takes care of itself.

So if I overeat one day, it is no big deal. I don't regret it or worry. I know how much I over ate and I just cut way back the next day. Some days I will fast if I have to, until my average daily calories for the week are down to what I want. At the same time, I will change my diet to make sure I am getting enough of any nutrient if I am low in.

After 2 years, I know I can put my weight anywhere I want it. I can raise it if I get too skinny, lower it if I want to. It is just a non-issue now.

I am a guy, 5' 7", now 130 lbs. I started out eating 1400 to 1500 calories/day and got just about all my nutrients from food, not from supplements. As I approached 130 lbs, I upped my calorie intake to 1750 to 1850 calories, where I keep it now.

Sometimes I get off the diet, but then I get back on it. The benefits are so good it is well worth the effort.

A couple of months ago I put together a website to show my personal CR experiences, to give references and links to some scientific papers on CR, to link to other websites/blogs of people on CR, to link to free CR software tools, to provide a few recipes:

http://www.nbrhd.net/CR/CR.htm

The following page lists all the changes that happened to me after I started following the diet (you can see why I have decided to stick with this diet the rest of my life):

http://www.nbrhd.net/CR/Results/BobResults.htm

I recommend this diet only if you are an adult and if you are willing/able to track your nutrition. Cutting calories significantly without tracking nutrition can be dangerous.

Hope this is helpful. Best of luck.
