Well it depends on the exact models, but in no order, it's honda, toyota and nissan.
I had a mechanic over the other day, he says he'd be OUT of business if it wasnt for "GM and FORD"...and the cars he's NEVER had in his shop were..wait for it...wait for it..
HONDA TOYOTA NISSAN
and that is why we DONT BUY AMERICAN!
Btw, next ford you see, check the door thingie--find out WHERE IT WAS made---not in the USA!!! Hecho in Mexico, Made in Canada!

Honda retains its value slightly more than Toyota. For example, the Accord is worth around 50% after 4 years... but the Camry is worth 47%.
Ford and Chevy are in the 30% range.
Nissan is slightly better than domestics.

Honda or Toyota even a Nissan on a good day....sorry American cars just don't do what the imports do....and yes I own a Chevy with the full intent of getting a new one in 2 years (or 45,000. miles) whichever comes first.

I don't know for sure on value, but I will always praise a nissan or toyota. I had a nissan stanza wagon that was getiing 150 miles put on per day. It didn't have an oil change for 6 months. It was basically dry when it finally did. When it got sold, I still saw it being driven 2 years later. They are tough cars.

I would have to say Honda..I had a 1991 Accord with oodles of miles on it and it served me well for three years till I traded up for a new one...the only things I ever needed to do to it were change the oil and I did a break job once becuase I was a young speed demon and liked to floor it! I miss that car!
