is there any alternatives to the system sound controls, like any free programs or anything...?

i dont have the system audio controls, and i need something that does the same job, ie. wave levels, main audio level, etc.

well...its more like....i want a replacment program that could replace the sound properties that are found on the system tray...i cannot reinstall so what could i do as a alternative?

Is this question in reference to Windows Media Player 10? You can control this. There is an adjustable EQ. Open WMP.
View (top left)>enhancements>graphic equalizer
