Well, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. It depends on the girl and the guy. If you really like someone, you should talk to her, because if you don't you'll never know what could happen. I've liked a shy guy for a year, and I recently had to move out of state-I still like him, but he is still very shy and does not know what to say. I am willing to wait for him. The shy guy only finishes last if he does not TRY. If a girl rejects you, don't worry-that just means there is someone out there who is better for you.

I guess, but only because they most likely won't ask a girl out, hence the shy. I'm a shy girl, so I would never go ask a guy out or anything, so basically I'd need him to make the initiative. Haven't been asked out yet, lol. So not only shy guys finish last , girls do too. ;)

No. I'm one of them too.
You just need a different game plan. And the girls love it. And least the ones you'd want, anyway.
1. Become friends with the girl you like. You're not being romantic yet, so it's easy. Go out in groups and just talk to her. No pressure.
2. Start flirting with her. The easiest way is to keep talking like before, but stand closer, and find excuses to touch her (G-rated like the shoulder or hand!) Compliment her a lot, and look in her eyes. [If you're nervous, you're just acting like good friends, right?]
3. Start acting like a boyfriend - hold open doors for her, start alternating paying for things (instead of splitting each bill), and act slightly possessive (like standing close to her when other guys hit on her). [You're just acting like really good friends, right?]
4. By now, your friends already think you're a couple, and talk about you like one, and you're probably flirting incessantly with her and constantly thinking about her, so...you've just morphed into boyfriend/girlfriend. When the timing is right - kiss her. Unless she's already kissed you. It's official.

Perhaps. A girl likes to know when a guy is interested in her. If your too shy to tell her then she may go for someone who does let her know.
Find the courage....you may be letting some nice ones get away!

being a shy guy isn't always bad! guys who are more reserved when it comes to conversation and other things, makes them insane in the sack. i was met this really shy guy and he was quiet and kept to himself, but when we went to bed, i swear it was the best sex i had ever had! don't worry about being ashy guy... lots of women loves guys who are less forward about their sexual feelings!
