You will sleep more soundly if you keep your spine in alignment. You should never sleep on your stomach. Also make sure you have a pillow that is soft, yet supportive. Check that your head is not propped up to high, or that your neck is not curved. I find it really helpful to sleep with a pillow between my knees which is also recommended. You shouldn't eat anything spicy, or with lots of sugar or caffeine before bed. If your hungry have a light snack and do not over eat because that can make you uncomfortable as well. Good luck.

Sleeping on back is best, the stomach or sides tends to create more movement during sleep which can wake U. U should not drink or eat 2 hours before sleep, and no caffine 6 hours before. Do not have a clock within eyesight and dont watch TV in the bed U sleep in. Empty your thoughts about the next day or problems in life, and if you need some white noise use a fan or a cd with rain or something relaxing.

Yes, your body will gain more rest if you sleep in a comfortable position, and you don't eat too much peyote.

actually the amount of rest depends solely on the quality of sleep and the intensity. If sleeping a certain way affects your quality of sleep, which it does, it would have a secondary affect on the amount of rest.
