So, Jesus was sent to die for our sins. What would've happened if he didn't? Would all of mankind throughout history be damned to hell? Would we keep having children and have them damned too? An eternal punishment for every future person? Sorry if I sound ignorant, It's been along time since I read the bible. Thanks.

We would still be under the law of moses, which is the old covenant. The people who lived and died before Jesus aren't damned to hell, they were in Abraham's bosom. After Jesus was crucified, He went to hell to preach and set the captives free.
hoping you read the Word again soon~ be blessed In Jesus

If Christ came to die for all men to be saved from their sins, human history would have been ended right there!
But the world still continues to exist with people repenting or indulging in sins, this proves that many people among us have misunderstood His Mission.
Christ's Mission is similar to those of all other Messengers of God (Moses, Krishna, Muhammad...), that is to teach man about God, about mankind, and about the decent living to build an ever-advancing civilization on earth to affirm His eternal glory. They have all accomplished Their Missions, so that we now have high knowledge about morality and have various kinds of wonderful instruments to build the divine civilization throughout the globe.
There are now abundantly threatening signs of our complete destruction too; but all thinking men are trying their best to avoid it.
Still, nobody can tell where our world woud go, because most of us forgot or misunderstood the lesson of true love from God!
Now a small portion of mankind, the Baha'is, based on the teachings of Baha'u'llah, firmly believe that mankind will overcome this dark condition and make extensive effort in preparation for God to usher in His Kingdom on earth.
If the earth were destroyed, we would all be responsible before God in the world beyond for the wrong use of our free will; and if the earth really becomes paradise, we will realize the omnipotent intervention of the One True God, we will bow low our heads to worship Him as our wise ancestors did.
Yes, I believe in God, I believe that this earth will shine brightly with a world civilization under the love of the One True God.

First of all, send me contact info and I can make sure you get a Bible! :) Secondly, there is no what if.... Jesus Christ was present before God created the world. He has ALWAYS been God's plan for salvation. God's prophetic will has and will always be accomplished. It is pointless to ask "what if?" That's not the God I serve. The point is Jesus did come, and He does live, and that's all that matters. We just have to put our faith in Him.

Life would be the same for us whether Jesus died on the cross or in bed or drowned or fell off the mountain or got stabbed or ...., well, you get the picture. One person's death does not effect the entire human race for the rest of eternity. I wish some Christian "thinkers" out there would get a clue about this concept.

Don't be so quick to believe that God would condemn innocent people to hell just because they were born before Jesus or never heard of Jesus or just don't believe in Jesus.

What is God? Some crazed sadist? I think not.

That's what they think. Everyone would have been doomed to hell forever if Christ had not come to die for their sins....And they are ecstatic about his death, because now they think they can live....And, if anyone doesn't accept the blood gift, they say you are going to hell.....Pretty jacked up.
