Per your Scripture verse, DEUTERONOMY 24:14 "You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or an alien who is in your land in your towns."
It says not to "oppress" a hired servant. It says absolutely nothing about letting "aliens" overrun the country to the detriment of the citizenry. Read the short essay below and then think about your position. PS: I am a Christian and I am NOT a racist...I am an American who wants to keep America safe, secure and sovereign .
HERE'S THE ESSAY:
A good way of explaining how we are being worked
Subject: Let's say I break into your house
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).
According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part. If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest, um, except for well, you know.
And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being anti-housebreaker.
Oh yeah, and I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me. Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America....

What is racist about wanting to uphold the laws of our country? They are there for a reason. People come in the front door at a controlled and documented rate , Just like my great grandfather all the time.
The whole world can't move here, especially the whole third world. There is not enough space, and they do not bring enough education & skills to be self sufficient here. It would swamp our social service system, and then where will we be?
If you have no respect for the rule of law, and believe that an Immigrant should be able to come by any means possible, adopt one yourself, sponsor one yourself, support one yourself, and convince just about every other country on the planet that has much more restrictive policies than us to do the same. We are a revolving door compared to most other nations, so what is the problem?

You're right, God did say all that or so people say anyway. But study further before you go calling people atheists. If you're going to quote the Bible you best be ready to argue all the way, the Word of God doesn't end with the Old Testament unless of course you are Jewish. Read what happened next, you know after Christ came, the New Testament. Christ said that we are no longer bound by the OLD law, that he came to set us free from it. He also said that every man shall abide by the law of the land that he is in because such law is appointed by the Father and in abiding by their law we shall show love and reverence. Christ also said that when we are in Rome we shall be like the Romans, so as not to disrespect the people or cause ill-content. I paraphrased all of that, it's too late in the evening to dig up the scripture, but I am sure since you have Biblical knowledge you will find the verses on your own. If you are Jewish and live solely according to the Old Testament, then please accept my apology. And accept that not all people live according to the Old Testament and that it does not mean they do not believe in God, a God, or a Creator. The word Atheist means you believe in NOTHING.....sorry but that is humanly impossible...there are NO Atheists....ALL humans believe in something, good or bad.

I thought I had seen all of the cowardly tricks that illegals and their supporters use and now you are taking scripture from the Bible and twisting them to fit your agenda. Give me a break! It's convenient how you ignore the commands, 'Thou shalt not steal' and 'Thou shalt not lie' and 'Thou shalt not covet'. There are many more I am sure. You are a hypocrite, like so many others like you. There is also something in the Bible about obeying the laws of the land. Of course, you left that one out too.
DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT WHAT GOD HAS TO SAY?

Debate the issue, stop thinking that you can somehow trick everyone into supporting your viewpoint.
Illegal means illegal, I sympathize with people wanting a better life, but I believe my own countrymen are more important, family first. I also believe that we have to know who is coming to our country.
I am a Christian and I am originally from Vietnam, I came here legally and had to work very hard to learn the language (still struggle) and to become a citizen. I resent these people who think we owe it to them when I worked so hard.

So you are saying that according to the bible we should make illegals servants?
That sort of goes beyond racism. And I think you should read the verses surrounding these so you will get a clue as to what is being referred to and not pick and choose verses out of context. After all, that is one thing that Atheists find so hypocritical of Christians.

Yes, religion teaches us to help and be kind to the poor and the U.S. is one of the most, if not the most, generous country on this planet.
Please do not try to spin religion around because religion does not teach the poor (ILLEGALS) to steal and covet things from their neighbors (US Citizens).
Below is an excerpt from the Ten Commandments, where God himself spoke to Moses.
(8) You shall not steal. (9) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. (10) You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

It's just like a illegal supporter to twist Bible verses and take them out of context,I've got one for you.that's not out of context>>>>)"1. Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
2. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."

No, I am not an athiest, I am a firm believer in God, but I am also a firm believer in obeying the law. Why cant we be both. If you commit a crime you need to pay for it and Illegals are commiting a crime.
