The way some of their posts sound, it doesn't seem like the concept of "radical christianity" is too far away, and soon we'll have them strapping on bombs to blow up buses of "sinners". This is not a jab at the nice Christians, there are some very good ones out there....

Ok...you will get to be with your loved ones one way or another, but please don't make everyone else so miserable in the process. It's like global warming/ wars are exciting to you b/c you feel it fulfills prophecies and such, so there is no reason to try to stop them or think of ways to preserve life....b/c I'm sorry...what's going on today is acts of "man" not "God".

PS. I have read the Bible plenty....I just don't like the way a lot of the "fundies" choose to interpret it.

Get what they deserve...are you serious? Just b/c you are an ***, doesn't mean the rest of us are. I make the world a better place, I don't care what any of your faiths may have you believe!

I agree

There is a lot of talk about the End of times

And the Rapture

There always has been. The Seventh Day adventists were originally based on this.

The Waco Texas cult of the Branch Dividian Church were into this and many religions cite them as being singeld out by the US government.

Maybe it's because everyone "wants to go to heaven"

But in Revelations it says if your name is not in the book of life you don't go, you stay.

What if Pat Roberston, Billy Graham, Robert Schuller and others are NOT in the book of life. What of their followers. Those people followed a FALSE Prophet.

We won't know until the End and GOD tell us!

Are Christians ready to be decalred UNFIT for heaven!

Are they in a rush for this!

Everyone who thiniks because they believe in God and Jesus that they are saved and will go to heaven may be shocked if God says NO

I may be saved and I may not.

What makes all those who "go to church, believe in God and Jesus" think they are saved! What if they are NOT. What if God say, YOU STAY.

I am ready for that. I don't do things for rewards.

How will everyone else feel on that day!

Christians are not blowing up Abortion Clinic's etc. They don't even have the get and go, to get out and vote, a Clinton out. It is a lot easier to sit and preach across your kitchen table to each other than to take rational action. Irrational action such as blowing up clinics is no more or God than pulling a baby's head off just cause a person wants to be back at the pud instead of changing diapers.

Have you never desired to be in a place with no more pain, crying or striving to pay bills, etc, etc. I have no death wish or no desire for doomsday, but God has promised me that through my faith in Jesus Christ that there is a better day coming. I believe our future with Him cannot even begin to be imagined. Scripture even says that. Most people don't even have a beginning of imagining what it will be like, they picture clouds and walking around with nothing to do and just kind of floating on clouds. Yet what scripture does tell is quite incredible Buildings, streets, layers of communities and homes and real and touchable place. I do look forward to it, but until it is my time to go, I am content to dwell peaceably here and show the love of Christ to everyone as he has shown me, and therein hopefully win some that they might share the glories yet to come.

I don't think that christians are looking forward to the doom of mankind... i do think that the eagerness that you percieve for the second coming of christ is the realization of a lifelong commitment to an ideal that is based solely on faith.

let's put it in a different light... say u worked your whole life to achieve world peace... but the majority of the world said that your dreams and ideals and perceptions were wrong. Then at the end of your life your dream is realized... hence probably the greatest feeling that you could ever experience right?

That is why i think the christian society is so amped to see the second coming / rapture / doomsday..

Because every tick of the clock gets us closer to Judgment Day!

For Christians it will be bearable and after that have eternal reward to look forward to! For unbelievers, it will be their worst nightmare come true! They will have to....

A. Bend their knee to Christ and KNOW he is the Son of God

B. Have all their sins exposed in humiliation

C. Be punished

We welcome the rapture, because we know we are all going with Jesus some day. NO real christian would strap a bomb and blow up buses. Murder is a sin! There are too many bad apples, giving christianity a bad name!

Well, if they're still alive when the End Times come, they figure that they won't have to die first to go to Heaven.

Because they want God to force them to stop being envious of those people who do not have to follow mindless creeds & pointless rituals.
