Dont know the cause, could be alcohol abuse-not enough, haha
I dont usually take headache medicine, instead I drink a couple of cups of coffee. The coffee constricts the blood vessels in the brain, thereby alleviating the headache. If you look on the label, Bayer aspirin is 15 percent caffeine.

By prescription Imitrex. Failing that try Migraine Strength Tylenol or a strong caffeinated drink with asprin.

migraines that last that long are suspicion of a brain tumor. Talk to your doctor and see if going to a neurologist for a brain ct is something you should do. Cranial pressure is a big cause of migraines along with diet. People prevelant to migraines should avoid green leafy vegetables, bacon, garlic, avocados, caffiene, chocolate, processed meats, processed cheeses and alot of other foods that a neurologist can print out for you.

Oh dear. I'm sorry.

Did you eat cheese? Chocolate? Have you been at the computer or in the sun a lot.

Take Excedrin Migraine , It's wonderful. Also, no cheese and sleep for a long time in the dark.

Turn out the lights, light aggrivates it -- take some benydryl and a headache medicine (like tylenol) -- take a warm bath to relax and go to bed -- avoid loud noises too.

Imitrex is the prescription for migranes.

They don't know what causes them, but they are sometimes linked to stress.

That's my advice (from experience) but here's some more from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migraines

I have tried everything going for the past three decades, conventional medicine and alternative. The best was Cafergot (stops it almost immediately but leaves you feeling tired out). I've found that since I've been drinking more water, exercising more (not overexercising because that causes migraine too!) and avoiding the classic migraine triggers, I've reduced them by at least 50%. I didn't find much help from aromatherapy or massage, hydrotherapy or homeopathy.

try any of these or even a combo! Green/white tea, 64oz of water per day (dehydration could be a factor), exercise, or meditation. Question....are you getting enough sleep?? Eating properly??Are you having regular bowel movements??? And most importantly have you talked with your doctor?? I think it's best if you talked with your doctor......

Take Excedrin. Call your doctor. You shouldn't have a headache that long.
