Can you help with decorating question?

I have a xlarge master bedroom with brick red "porch Paint" walls. and black baseboards. White ceiling and white carpet. How can I accessorize to make it a little less "risque" looking? I love the color.Also black curtains

Go with a contemporary or asian style. I prefer contemporary personally. I definitely recommend using black furniture. Black painted dressers, black painted wood bed or black rod-iron bed. For stained wood such as lamps go with a medium to dark stained wood or something black. For curtains, I'd go with white or light tan. Black curtains will work, but light curtains will better help to keep the room from looking too dark. Adding some plants will help add some character to the room. For handles and stuff like that I'd recommend a silver or nickel finish. Then for pictures or paintings on the walls, which you definitely will want to add. Go with a nickel, silver, or black frame. Keep the frame color and style consistent. Then add a white border around the picture or painting for some brightness. Stick to light colored or bright pictures/paintings. Or you can't go wrong with black and white photos inside the frames.

Definitely stay away from the jungle theme. Ask any furniture store, they have a lot of trouble selling jungle type furniture.

To help select furniture paint about a 12" x 12" piece of cardboard with the paint color of your room and use that to take to the furniture stores. That will help give you a great idea what the furniture will look like in your room. A little sample card won't do the trick because you can't really stand back and look to get a real idea (1.5"x2" just isn't big enough).
