Well I really don't know what kind of lies your talking about but. Many people tend to lie to cover up another lie and they keep lying until they get caught, at times people lie so as not to hurt an others feelings, at times people may lie so that the other person or persons do not think less of them or are afraid of what people might think of them if the truth is discovered.

they do that because in lying is a cause and effect they have to lie to cover another or to keep from hurting you but thats not the case most of the time even telling the truth hurts but a lie kills the soul

Because they think in their little pea brain minds that it makes them look bigger and better....but for me once you lie to me I will never believe a thing you say again.....so why do they? why do people lie anyways..it does not get you anywhere and once you lie you have to lie over and over again cause you forgot in the first place who and what you told your lie to...just be honest...makes life much better and easier for all. Those who lie to others continue to lie to themselves continuously....what a shame

Sometimes is easier to lie, then have people look at you with sadness in their eyes because they finally see the real you a (loser).

I don't know why people do it, but I think it's really stupid. I hate it when people lie. Lies hurt worse than the truth!

Nobody wants to get caught or get in trouble. Sometimes, depending on the situation, its just eaiser to lie.

Because they are too afraid to admit their wrongdoings...or, even worse, they might think what they did wasn't a wrong thing to do.
