That is a wonderful goal. Go to the Montessori website, and also to the Wikipedia entry for Montessori. You can get a lot of tips and ideas, and even books on Montessori training and teaching methods.
Parents are a child's first teachers, and it can do your children a world of good to have their parents incorporate such good methods as Montessori into their learning experience.

One fo the Montessori methods you can try at home is to keep toys in a cabinet. When your child takes out a toy to play with, they must return it to the cabinet before they can get out another one. Good for both you and your child.

Below are some links to help you. I've also given you a link to a book available via Amazon.
The very last link even gives you worksheets and lesson plans if you'd like to take a look!
Your library may also be able to assist you. Also, many libraries will offer online and chat assistance to help you find more info.

learning starts at home.....so , meaning ,,,put labels on it...what i mean is the name of things around your house: ex.glass, table, door, doorknob, ceiling, cabinet, etc..
let the child do the table setting....don't worry about how many plates and glasses will be broken....just let him do it freely ...don't pressure him...trust your child....it really works!..... if your child is working don't disturb him,,,because at that period of time his mind is working.....through that he is developing independence.....
sometimes the child is restless, so u give him a lot of activities ....
i hope it will work for you....but i know it really works...i've done already...coz i'm a montessori teacher...
that's it for now....if you want more just mail me...ok?
