why does african (yoruba) santeria alows women to be initiated in the ifa ceremony and cuban santeria does not

many women in yoruba land (where santeria comes from) are initiated in the ifa ceremony, but cuban santeria wont alow this to
happen, why???

Like Christianity or Judaism or most other religions, when a religion gets big and diverse enough, different sects will have different attitudes about women. Apparently Cuban Santeria is more sexist than the Yoruba practice.
