Both of my ears have been, i guess plugged for over a year now, the doctors cant really figure out whats going on..it kinda feels like if you go swimming in the deep end, go under and come up fast your ears get plugged, thats whats happening to me, just not quite as bad, sometimes they hurt, but not usually, they wont de-plug either, no matter what ive tried, maybe im missing something somewhere to do, im open to suggestions. To relieve a little pressure i colose my eyes, plug my nose and blow, but it doesnt completely unplug..just relieves a little pressure..anyone else have had/has this problem? how did you fix it? thanks alot

Well, i had that for about a week and i went to see a doctor. They unplugged it by gently "shooting" lukewarm water in my ears with a little "baby" plastic syringe. If that doesn't work, maybe your doctors should do more tests on you, it might be something inside your ear? You know, degenerative hear loss or your ear bones are "melting" or "building" together which prevents you from hearing.Try to see an ear specialists if you can. Good luck!

it is due to the elevation levels wherever you are. so here is what i suggest you do i suggest trying to chew gum and drinking more water and using q tips after each shower and try to find a thing to suck out all the stuff in your ears. cause you may have to much. the thing docots use to clean out a new born babies nose and ears from teh fluids is the best thing along with a litle peroxide and water mixed.. to drain it out

My dad has a similar problem.
Every so often, he has to go to the doctor and they drop solution in his ear and then suck it out with a vacuum type thing. It's very disturbing, but he says that it brings serious relief.
Might want to ask about that...
oh yeah....maybe you might have bruised an eardrum if you have pain....

I have the solution! This happens to me when I fly. Sometimes it lasts for weeks, but then I realized that simple decongestant works. Sinus/Nasal, something like that. Try Sudafed...good luck.
