The one cat is a rescue that has one eye and pisses all over the place and is constantly in heat. The other cat I have is a kitten who never sleeps, gets into everything and tries to escape outside. Which one should I keep?

I think I would keep the cat with one eye. First, the cat may be urinating around the house due to the new kitten, or also not being spayed or neutered.

As far as the kitten is concerned, it would be allot easier to get rid of a kitten verses an older animal. It is not out of the ordinary for kittens to have allot of energy, and if you are not willing to deal with this you would be doing the kitten a favor by finding him a new home.

First, spay the female rescue who is always in heat and check to see if she has a bladder infection causing her to pee all over. Have TWO litter boxes, one for each cat. The kitten is probably firghtened of the lunatic other cat and when it's not avoiding that cat, it is bored out of it's mind. Get a bunch of toys for hte kitten to play with. You may find that after spaying the other, she'll calm down and become friends with the kitten. If not, keep the kitten and get a second kitten. Cats need pals-either human or animal. They always do better that way.

Why do you have cats when you clearly don't understand their needs. You were the one to take responsibility for them, now be responsible.
The rescue cat would behave better of she were neutered, That is what the responsible owner would do. The peeing all over could be the sign of a urinary tract infection. Be responsible, take the cat to a vet to have it treated, and, oh, while you're there, have her neutered.
The kitten is a kitten. They run around at night, that's what kittens do. They are curious and get into things, that's what kittens do.
Has the kitten had it's vaccinations? No, then take it with you when you take to older cat to the vet and have that done. Oh, and
GET THEM BOTH NEUTERED!!!

Keep the one with one eye, give the other one to a shelter because someone will want a playful kitten. Remember, it is what is best for the cat, NOT you. This way both cats benefit and you get to know that you are a good person.

Keep the one eyed cat and get it "fixed". That will take care of the heat problem and the pissing all over the place. Just make sure the kitten goes to a shelter or a good home, most humane societies put their animals to sleep after 8-9 days.

A female cat who is not spayed will most certainly be in heat a lot; get her spayed, as well as the kitten if you keep that one.
Kittens have endless energy, and will mellow, usually , in time.
Teach her , with your tone of voice and say sharply "NO" when it tried to get out. They are stubborn, but can be taught. Or , since you don;t really give the impression of being attached to either ( and why did you get them ?) be responsible and find them caring homes, and be petless until you can make up your mind.!

the cat that pees all over might be having urinary tract problems - possibly an infection, and should be seen by a veterinarian. you should get the cat spayed so that she won't go into heat all the time. most cats can live just fine with one eye, i know that from personal experience.

the kitten sounds like it's just being a kitten. cats are more nocturnal and like to hunt - so that would explain its not sleeping and escaping outside.

If you absolutely have to get rid of one, i would give the one eyed cat to a shelter because the shelter can probably pay for veterinary expenses and get the peeing all over problem figured out. Plus they would spay her, so she wouldn't be in heat all the time.

I'd say not to keep either of them. If you really want a cat, then the kitten has problems that it will grow out of (never sleeping/getting into things).
The other cat has a problem that you probably can't solve (wetting around the house). Possibly that's why it was abandoned before. Do your best to find a home where it will be the only cat which might solve the problem. No guarantees though.

The one eyed one, wow! The other one is a kitten, and you can still train her, also get her fixed as well. Keep her in til she gets good and lazy (about 1 and a half years) and get her lots of toys, they love mice. Yeah, take the rescue cat to a place and let someone find her a home.

If you get the rescue spayed she will probably stop marking, queens do this too. The kitten will outgrow his bad habits. If you keep both they will be happier and healthier, also they will demand less attention from you which is what the kitten is doing now.
