I've seen some here tonight who claim the events in Revelation have already occurred.

Could someone clarify why they believe this?
Is there historical proof that the Mark was given?
Is there any proof that the Battle of Armageddon happened already?
What about the new Heaven & Earth?
Wouldn't we be past the 1,000 year reign?
Or are we in the "for a time" when Satan is loosed & allowed to reek havoc?

I know the Bible is historically correct in many aspects. So wouldn't it be a safe guess that there'd be some record of these events elsewhere?

Still no definitive answers.

Try it this way:
If the KJV was translated in, what? 1600s?, why would they leave in Revelation? Wouldn't they have known about Nero by then?

You are asking some big questions.

I would recommend an online Bible study:

You might want to start from the beginning. There is a lot to be said about each of your questions.

GOD bless

Revelation can be a not ordinary e book. a number of it has befell even as different aspects are talking about what's to go back. immediately, we are in between chapters 13 and 14. very nearly each little thing from 14 on is destiny. as an get mutually, the female (the church) has fled to the barren area (the recent international), the beast/antichrist has come, and the beast has waged conflict on God's human beings. There are some exceptions because of how Jewish authors wrote. as an get mutually, the 2d beast of financial ruin 13 has not yet made anybody worship the first beast. yet another exception is that 14:6 - 13 is going on now. I choose i could supply an entire and particular answer, yet area and time make that very not ordinary. i wish it is of a few interest to you even with the undeniable fact that.

If you were a first century Jew who experienced the sacking of Jersusalem by the Romans, the burning of the Temple, the destruction and dispersion of the Jewish people, and the end of the Jewish Temple Worship system, you would know that you had experienced the definitive "end" of the Jewish world.

All of this was prophesied by Jesus Christ to happen within a generation of his crucifixion, and all did in fact happen.

There is another part of that prophecy, which refers to a future time, or times.

Where we are in that prophetic time line is a matter of speculation.

For a number of reasons, I believe that Revelation, Chapter 11 & 12 coincides with the period beginning with the first world war and extending through the end of the second world war (roughly 1917 - 1948).

Your mileage may vary.

Sure there are. But in order to understand them, you have to do some research. For example.

144,000 people are supposed to go to heaven according to revelations. So, how many people are supposed to go to heaven? If you say 144,000, you're quite wrong.

John of Patmos could not attack Nero directly, so he had to do so in code. One code that the people of the time were skilled in was numerology. In numerology, you could break down numbers into specific meaning.

1000 - An uncountable amount
12 - The perfection of three made manifest in the four elements (3 * 4). Hence, the twelve tribes of Israel.
Any non-primitive number squared -- the perfect and complete expression of that number.

So, 12 * 12 * 1000 is the perfect and complete expression of the perfection of three made manifest in the four elements for countless people -- In short, Heaven is meant for an uncountably vast number of people because Heaven is the ultimate culmination of God's plan for all people who through whatever means are judged eligable to go to Heaven.

If you don't understand the culture of the times of the bible, you can NEVER understand the bible. There is a specific reason for every number in the Bible, particularly in the new testament, where the writers had to specifically conceal their real messages.

-------------------

By the 1600's, the knowledge of numerology had been condemned by the christian church as an occult knowledge. Hence, the people translating it could not have understood the details they were reading any better than a modern person interpretting the text without that knowledge could have.

There, check out the link in my sources. I mean, for crying out loud, if you want knowledge, go do some research! I have been told by countless Christians that I need to read the Bible, and so I studied it, I studied the history of the times the books were written, the archeology and anthropology relating to the books. In my experience, it's Christians who understand their Bibles less than everyone else because they don't bother understanding the text in the context of the sociopolitical climate in which it was written. You could not possibly understand the story of Jesus of Nazareth if you didn't have a passing familiarity with roman culture and Jewish culture -- indeed, without the Jewish culture, the concept of monotheistic messianism would be utterly meaningless, because there'd be no culture expecting a messiah in the way the Jewish culture was at the time of Jesus.

*rubs his forehead* Of course, you're going to read the link I gave you and despite your assertion of wanting to learn and telling people to read and understand the Bible for themselves, you're going to dismiss the entire idea out of hand because it's not what you believe and you're going to continue believing what you were taught so I don't know why I'm letting myself get riled up.

Do your own research on your own holy text, you'll be amazed by the depth of meaning in it when you start to really understand it and it'll either make an atheist of you or it will fulfill your faith beyond your wildest dreams when you see how DEEP the meaning actually goes. The Bible is one of the deepest books out there but you gotta get past the ink on the page if you want to share in that depth.

I don't remember exactly when it was, but the Rapture occurred several years ago. I think it was in about 1998.
