-no women priests ...
Priests serve as a "type" of Christ. All the Old Testament patriarchs were priests. None of the women were. The Old Testament Levitical priesthood was constituted entirely of men. Christ is a man, not a woman. Jesus never selected any female apostles. The church has never ordained any female deacons, priests, or bishops because our best evidence tells us that God prefers it this way. Case closed.
- babies are born sinners
The doctrine of original sin explains why we all need a holy redeemer. Mankind's legacy is sin. It was all that Adam had left to give us after he was willingly swindled and enslaved by Satan. Adam's sin resulted in all mankind being enslaved to Satan as well. Anyone who understands slavery knows that anyone born of a slave is a slave, and is born into the domination of the same slave holder.
This was, and still is a near universally accepted truth of the Christian faith. I'm surprised you don't understand it.
- no stem cell research
No EMBRYONIC stem cell research. A human embryo is a tiny person, body, soul, mind. No one has the right to destroy another life. It's the same thing as abortion. Research with other types of stem cells is OK and causes no current problems.
- no condoms to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS
Condoms cannot prevent HIV/AIDS. Condoms fail up to 40% of the time. If airplanes worked that poorly, no one would ever buy a ticket. If the space shuttle had a safety record that poor, no astronaut would agree to ride in it. If your computer failed that often, you could have never managed to log on to the internet.
If a couple relied on a condom for HIV protection, AIDS would be transmitted in 4 out of every 10 encounters. How is this effective against the spread of HIV?
For your information, God has spoken to every pope, and the teachings of the Catholic church constitute all that God has revealed to mankind for our salvation.
Who's been whispering in your ear?

Sorry to tell you that you can't actually know and therefore rightly judge any teaching of the Catholic Church looking at a given teaching from the outside in.
It has to be the other way around, otherwise, they will just seem stupid to you.
As biased as you seem to be, I don't think my answers (or anyone else's for that matter) to those questions will do you any good.

He doesn't oppose the use of condoms to prevent the spread of HIV. He opposes condoms because in most cases they are used for sex outside of marriage.

No condoms because that is infringing on god's will supposedly. You know what else is infringing on god's will? medication, something of which the pope takes quite a lot.

Because if you weren't promiscuous in the first place you wouldn't get HIV/AIDS. Those who get it from transfusions excepted. The point is that HIV/AIDS is entirely preventable but the majority who get it or will get it refuse to take responsibility for their actions.

the catholic church does not want people to use birth conrtrol because catholic parents, raise catholic kids, who usually grow up to be catholic adults. plus the chruch is antiquated and won't enter modern times. i doubt the church will be going anywhere soon, they have a pretty good iron grip on most of latin america, parts of europe, and elsewhere. sciecne is based on logic and fact, religion is based on obedience and faith.
