If not, would you buy your next-door heterosexual atheist neighbors a wedding gift if they just got married?

Yes, I would buy gay or lesbian neighbours a wedding gift. Honestly, I would probably buy them something better/more expensive than I would a straight couple. All straights have to do is insinuate that they're getting married and people fawn over them. I would buy atheist neighbours a gift, as well.

It's funny, how all those homophobic Christians answering here conveniently forgot about that scripture they so love to repeat at other times. You know the one. LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR. Intolerant asses. They also block out the fact that marriage was around long, long before Christianity. Funny, that.

If your next-door gay neighbors got married, would you buy them a wedding gift? -- Yes, why not?

Both are neighbors - not strangers, (how else did I learn of the wedding?) therefore as you KNOW them - Yes I would. It would be appropriate to the household, of course. Probably candles - you can't go wrong with candles. (I can't remember the rest of Bull Durham, darn it!)

Not only would I buy them a gift it would be one of significance! True love comes in all shapes and sizes! I am not gay however I am married. Anyone who is willing to make that commitment deserves the respect and congratulations of friends and family. I would be proud to call people who were willing to put their love and commitment for each other before the beliefs of a bias world.

If I were on friendly terms with either, I would buy them both wedding gifts. Hopefully they'd invite us over for the wedding too. Jesus said love your neighbor. He probably didn't mean your literal neighbor per se, but He didn't not mean them either.

God loves everyone. Peace.

Part A, no, because I don't think they should be allowed to get married, and part B, I guess it would depend on if I went to the wedding or not, and if I liked them or not. You asked, I answered.

I would in either case because to do otherwise would make me a judgmental holier than though hypocrite who disregards Christ's teachings of loving thy neighbor and being inclusive.

If gay marriages were legal and my neigbors got married ....yes, I would buy them a gift. They are entitled to happiness, and a weddng gift. I suppose it would be a sign of acceptance.

If I talked to them and considered them friends, sure. If not, then no. I don't just go around buying things for people just because I hear that they are having a special occasion. I gotta at least know them first.
