When we have family reunions, 5 generations from the babies to the eldest (82). The food is wonderful, especially from the Mennonite branch. The nephew's band is really good. There's horseshoes, volleyball, dancing, pinatas from our Hispanic branch from down south. If we're lucky our Navy and Army Kids will be home for a while. Our old and beloved hippies from San Francisco. We are all related one way or another, a diverse group, affectionate and non judgmental. Happy times!

When I was a little girl sitting on my grandma's lap and her rocking and singing to me. I sat on her lap even as a grown woman with children of my own. I felt so loved and secure in her arms. My Mam-maw has been gone for almost three years now and I miss her terribly. I only hope to see her again on Resurrection day.
