Does your friend want her mom to go to jail? Does she want to have to do without some things because her mom will have to pay a big fine?
Tell her she can't always get what she wants, and she's being too selfish and shortsighted.

in a way it is, it seems harmless since she is a good driver. but it not always your fault if there's an accident. there are some bad drivers out there, people that just dont pay attention. because of someone elses stupidity and bad driving could get her mom caught without a license. it doesn't cost much to get a license so maybe she should just go take the test to get it.

Tell your friend to tell her mother to get a license so she can drive her wherever your friend wants her mother to drive her, school, mall, hospital etc. And it won't harm her mom to get a license, it wouldn't just help your friend but also her mom.. just in case your friend's mom needs to go somewhere or do something she doesn't or won't need anyone to drive her around cause she has her own license.

And I also don't think your friend is selfish.. that's just being sweet to her mother.

its not a matter of being selfish. Its just that she CANT drive legally so its not an option. She will have to go to the school that is closer so her mom doesnt get into trouble.

if her mom dosen't have a driver's license then she shouldn't drive, if her mom gets caught she could go to jail and face large fines. if your friend wants to go to the other school bad enough she will find another way to get there. your friend should also think about the reasons why she wants to go to this other school.

It's not selfish of your friend to not want to go to a neighborhood school. School is Very important And where you go can have a lot of influence on how you suceed. she should however discuss alternative means of transportion to and from school, If it's affordable, If not she should try to convince her mom to get a license

It's not neccisarily selfish but she shouldn't expect her mom to drive her. She could get into a lot of trouble driving without a license.

Tell her to hang on it won't be too long now and legally she will be able to get that license....as far as Graduation goes...my daughter graduates this year too and I understand that she wants to be with her freinds so I encourage that and for her to find even MORE friends at her new school

well, it's a way of exploiting parents who cannot say NO as an answer. Perhaps she wants to drive their attention. Ask you friend, what is the real underlying problem behind this? Perhaps she wants to spend some time with her mom?

Well unless she has good reasons for going to the other school such as bad teachers or danger to her, ya she needs to grow up and realize the world dose not revolve around her, and should respect her parents, they have feelings too.
