i started to learn to play guitar, and the guy i like has been playing for a long time, to him would it seem weird or stupid, like i was trying to impress him or something

If you feel that in your heart guitar is something you want to do, then do it. The only person that can stop you is you. Personally, if I played guitar and a girl decided to start learning, I would find that to be totally awesome. I say that you go for it, and hey, if he doesn't like it, at least you have a new skill! If you want to learn because you want to be able to play the guitar, it is fine. But if you are doing it to impress him, then it is silly but not stupid. Maybe you want one more thing in common with the guy.

Not at all, I find it perfectly fine.. may I add "sweet"? Well unless you're playing an electric guitar then.. that's a different story but if you like the acoustic, that's freaking awesomee! I wish I knew how to play the guitar, I've tried but failed miserably, oh well. But if he finds you appealing, then it's a turn on to him.

Let him know that it is something you always wanted to do and yes, maybe he inspires you...their should be nothing wrong for a couple to share things together....unless their is something really wrong!!
