Strange as it may sound, several doctors, in the E.R., were having a difficult time trying to get a live cockroach out of a patients ear. Finally one of the doctors got an inspiration. He squirted xylocaine local anesthetic into the ear and the bug immediately rushed out. Zylocaine is a member of the alkaloid family of organic chemicals. They and it are extremely bitter. and the roach could not stand the liquid.
It was killed soon after it emerged. The patient was fine.
Xylocaine hydrochoride is the usual anesthetic that dentists use to freeze gums.

If your friend is sure the bee is still in there, see a doctor quickly at the very least. The ear tissues are very delicate, and a problem like this really needs professional attention.
