Cancer remission is often thought to mean that the cancer has been cured. However, this is not always true.

There are different classifications of remission - complete and partial remission.

Complete remission means that there are no signs or symptoms of cancer. This can mean the cancer has been cured, or cancer may still be present in the body.

Partial remission refers to the point when few signs and symptoms of cancer remain, however there is a noticeable decrease of cancer cells.

remission means that your cancer is not moving on. it means that it has paused, but then you are sure about the future and what happens next. you must take it a day at a time, and pray to the lord that it does not travel. we must be thankful what the lord gives us to enjoy day by day, it is okay to plan for the future, but hell no one is promise tomorrow. so live on day at a time.

Remission does not mean cure. It is simply a period during which there is a semblance a cure.

That is specific to the kind of cancer, and there are many subtypes of each. But, your oncologist should be able to tell you. It varies by individuals too.
