not that i am aware of but if you just bought and suspect something is wrong take it back now dont wait for something to happen to it

My flat screen TV emits a buzzing sound, but that's because I was cheap and payed $150 dollars for it. In your case, I would say return it to the store (if you just bought it).

Most electronics emit high pitched noise, but it is usually out of the range of hearing for the average person.
If you are hearing a low pitched buzz, (60hz)it is likely from the power supply.

You could be hearing something from the power supply or a noisy fan.

Take it back and go LCD.... They are more reliable, and getting cheaper.... I would try http://www.tigerdirect.com/
