yes, it is possible to get preg when they are just tied. Although if you are REALLY wanting another one your best bet would be to go get a reversal. That decreases your chances of have a tubal preg. which can happen as well.

I just asked this question and didn't get a huge response. I was wondering what the possibilities were for those of us that have gotten them tied recently. It seems that it is possible...though most ladies that replied had their tubes tied 10 yrs ago, leaving me to believe in time---your chances would increase or that surgery is better now? My cousin also had her tubes tied over 15 yrs ago--and now has a 5 yr old girl. They told her that her tubes came untied and grew back. We are done....I got mine burned and cauterized. And I am not thinking reversal in any way shape or form due to age--and I have 3 children under the age of 4 and am VERY BUSY. HOWEVER---I would totally love and welcome another child if I did get pregnant...because it was totally meant to be that way. Right? But I would be totally freaked and shocked---and totally wouldn't want to start over at 50!

My moms friend had her tubes tied and became pregnant 5 years later. I had mine burned 2 years ago and i have not come out pregnant and believe me that is good news i have 5 kids and they are all 2 years apart which means all my husband had to do was look at me and i got knocked up so i guess sometimes it does work.

My best friend works with this girl wh ohad a baby and decided to get her tubes tied. After she got her tubes tied she wound up getting pregnant again and had a baby girl. Than after her baby was born she got her tubes burned and even with her tubes burned she got pregnant 2 more times but those were miscarriages and she just found out she is 6-7 weeks pregnant.

So it is possible for you to get pregnant with your tubes tied. If it is meant to be it will be.

It is possible to get pregnant if the procedure isn't done right. If you look at the statistics it happens more then what people no. My babys aunt got pregnant when her tubes were tied with her 5th child. She got them tied after her and they actually showed it to her. So she would be sure she wouldn't get pregnant again. So only if the procedure was done absolutley correct!

Yes it can happen, rare, but it happens. I was in college with a lady that had her tubes tied 6 years ago and ended up pregnant.

I had mine done 10 1/2 yrs ago, I regret it and am still praying for a baby! I would like to know also how common it is to get pregnant after a tubal. I have had someone tell me that they know a couple of people who have but I am not sure how reliable what she says is. I have been told on a chat group before that it is very very difficult.

It is actually true that you can be one out of a thousand women with your tubes tied and become pregnant. I have had a doctor tell me this. I had a procedure done also. It can happen.
