A while ago when I was working and working, I found that by the end of the day i was totally bagged because I just kept myself going all day and then by the time I got home I was really tired and just didn't have the motivation to do a damn thing. Take a look at your schedule and there are probably things to consider...
1.look at the foods you are eating - are they healthy, energizing foods? Are you getting enough?
2. How much sleep you are getting - 7 to 9 hours/night? Is it good sleep? If not, why? (think of pillows, comfort of bed, things done before bed - exercising is NOT a good idea, eating sugary food isn't good either.. cut those off at least 2 - 4 hours before bed
3. Are you stressed out? Stress has a HUGE factor in the amount of energy you have - ever notice when you have a deadline that you are way more tired than normal? This affects your sleep too even if you aren't aware of it!
4. Lifestyle - out partying more than 2 nights/week? (even 2 nights is a lot for you mental and physical body to take!) Friends staying over later or more often than usual? Up on the computer till the wee hours? (hehe)
If none of the above apply to you, then maybe go to the doctor and get your iron count checked out. If it's lower than normal, that could make you worn down a lot easier and the doc might be able to prescribe you something or even suggest a multivitamin that will boost your energy.
Check the sites below... They might cover some areas that I missed or answer some questions hopefully!
Good luck!!

There are a lot of things that you can look at to determine what is going on in your life. Are you sleeping now more than you ever have? Do you have other symptoms such as sadness, crying, eating more or less than usual, isolation and feeling withdrawn even when you are with people at work? Have you undergone some major life changes lately, i.e., change of job, marriage, divorce, death in the family, move to a different town? All of these things might be contributing factors and you could have some depression.
Other options might be anemia or some other medical condition. I would suggest that you get a check up and talk to your doctor about the way that you are feeling. Many medical conditions mimic depression and can easily be treated. If you do not have a medical condition, then you may want to start looking at your lifestyle patterns.
Are you avoiding something or someone in your life? What is holding you back from getting out and doing the things that you previously enjoyed in life? Are you just bored because you are holding yourself back from trying new things?
Since you are aware of what is gonig on - you are already on the right path to getting where you want to be. Start checking things out, and enjoying your life.
Best wishes.

Hi!I know exactly what you're talking about, I've been like that for 1 year and 4 months now. Because I work on a graveyard shift from9pm to 6am and I come home really really tired that I dont have time to do anything else. And then during weekends I end up sleeping a lot too so I miss out a lot. But I am doing something about this now, I am leaving my graveyard shift job and will be transferring to another company and its a day job!
It's a matter of choice, and also I started going to the gym to be more flexible and stress free.
Good luck!

Stop whining you could lose your job, your home and become an insomiac and have trouble sleeping besides everything else! When your living under a bridge out of a box with no job and no health then you can worry about it! Imagine if you lived in Darfur or the streets of Bombay! What if you had to dig the Black hole of Calcutta deeper! You got it made in the shade compared to so many poor souls roaming this world. Do you have any idea how damn good you have it?

Well the first solution that comes to mined is the military. You could join, get so many different jobs and still never see a day of combat. The reason y the military comes to mined is most people who join, never really expected to. They just felt bored with there current life, wanted to step it up.
But i can under stained if you didn't want that. So i would start off with the question, are you doing what you truly wanted to do? Maybe you need to change your job?

Because you have chosen this path . There are always choices in life . If your current life stlye is unfulfilling then you have the ability to change . Many cultures have different views of life and work . Many cultures think Americans work as a part of the "one with the most toys wins " theory leaving many with lots meaningless material goods but unfulfilled in there personal lives . Find your passion and follow it .

Bless your heart, you sure need to change something in your life.I would have a great talk with myself and decide what do I want out of life?? You can do anything you want too.You didn't say how old you are, but I suspect you are young. Go back to school or whatever. But, really study on it before you do anything. So, I will say to you, Good luck and God Bless you.

Ask God to bring a special someone into your life. You need to at least have a good friend to share your thoughts, feelings and have some fun experiences together. So many other good ideas have been expressed here, too. God bless you.

it just happened to be become that way... it happens to many of us. ...but you ultimately control your life and can change if you really want to. i know this sounds like a cliche but you really do need balance in life i think. i've known many people like you and some of them have decided to change their lives for the sake of their mental health...i'd suggest you take some steps, however big or small, towards some balance in your life so you can feel human again .

You need to get out and socialize! Ask a few co-workers to have a cocktail after work and see what happens. If your not into the party scene then see whats available at your local church, they always have something going for singles to mingle
