In my opinion, it is a clear example of the divisionist tone of the modern "civil rights" movement. These days minorities spend far too much time emphasizing our differences, and glorifying non-assimilation. The only reason you hear about "white" people is because when the Italians and Irish and Germans immigrated, they became one with each other, despite the historical racial tensions between them. The "melting pot" was called that because people and their cultures melted into an American conglomeration. Today we see people flaunting the laws of the nation they sought refuge in, and demanding rights and privileges based on their color. Surely that is a far cry from what Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of, a world where people would be judged on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.
These claims of racial supremacy are not only infantile, but divisive. How long will it be before people learn that diversity is only as strong as the unity that holds it together?

Not every Mexican is illegal. They are not all in gangs. The most heinous crimes are committed by white people (I am white and if you don't believe me, look it up.) Stop being so stereotypical. I believe in pride but saying anyone is better than anyone else in any way is wrong (no matter if it is race, education, financial life, background, etc.).
So the poem is ridiculous, yes, but so are you.

Well I hope you won't ever be forced to emigrate to another country, as you can't even write in your own language, I don't have much of hope for another one you might learn, specially because Mexicans never laugh at the way American people "pronounce" Spanish :S.
Also, I don't think you will get much of a good work outside your country, you can't even configure you mail account to prevent it to get spam, smarty ***!

Yeah, this is something I notice about "minorities". (No offense to anyone.) But it seems that once they obtain equal status to whites, they become better than us. For instance, there are tons of awards that are given only to African Americans.
For instance, there is an award for children's literature, and then there is an award for children's literature by a African American author.
(I've got nothing against other races, but that is the sort of thing that ticks me.)
