Because ALLAH was a Pagan Moon Godess. You will get others saying that's false, but be that as it may. Look it up for yourself, here on the Internet and in Libraries. I repeat...Allah was a Moon Godess, that's why Arab women's name's ends in AH.

The proper name of Allah is not a feminine as you may believe. you should learn Arabic before judging the names.
The name of Allah is pronounced - ALLAAH - which if transliterated would be ALLAAHU.
The following definitions of feminine proper names are not applied to the proper name Allah, as feminine names in Arabic are usually ends with the - T - not - AH, as you stated in your question.
English language is too weak to compete Arabic in grammars and syntax.
The feminine names in Arabic which you said end with - AH - are transliterated to end with - AT, and that can be defined by the position of the name in sentence. they may end with - ATU, if the proper feminine name was the DOER in the sentence. - ATA - if the proper feminine name was in the DONE position in the sentence. or - ATUN - if it was an adjective.
What do you then say about the name of Jesus - Messiah ?

first of all it is not neceaary that all arabic feminine names have to end in suffix -- ah. and all such grammatical rules apply only to humans, not to God. i dont know what u are talking about?
ALLAH when translated from arabic to english means SUPREME BEING. it is not a name of a man or mythological/epic hero.
muslims dont kneel before humans, sun, moon, stars, and idols. we only submit and kneel to our SUPREME BEING.
Al-Ikhlas | 4 verses | Absoluteness سورة الإخلاص
Sura #112 | Makkah
1 Say: He is Allah, the One!
2 Allah, the eternally Besought of all!
3 He begetteth not nor was begotten.
4 And there is none comparable unto Him.
God was not born of someone else, in that case He is no God. God had always existed even before the existence of time and will exist even after the existence of time. nothing can keep God to be bound -- not time nor anything else. if God was born of someone, then how can he be perfect? only humans are born and we all die.

Nicolette,
Feminine words in arabic generally end in a letter called "ta marbuta", which is translitterated into English as "ah" as you mentioned. However, there are feminine words that don't end in ta marbuta, and there are words that end in ta marbuta that are not feminine.
With this said, the word "Allah" does not even fall into this category. It ends in the letter "ha" which is also translitterated into English as "ah", but it is not the same letter that is used to mark the feminine ending, so there is no need to be concerned.

You need to work on your Arabic.
Allah is a term used by Jews and Christian well before Islam. It means God. (For your information, God is spirit (wind) and he/she/it has no gender. So God or God-dress is the same since there is only one God.)
Before you try to figure out Arab, trying check out the etymology of God. The Hebrew word YHWH "I am that I am" is the name of God." In English that is God, in Arabic that is Allah, etc.
