Can a table saw & planer made for 60 hertz be hurt if on 50 hertz current?

I sent these equipments from America to my home in Africa,where the frequency of the current is 50 hertz.

Yes. It could overheat. The voltage may be different as well.

Worry about the voltage before you worry about the hertz.
