is it better to buy with card or take advantage of no finance for 12-24 months financing?

If you can get a deal for no interest for 12/24 months (with a reputable store) it would be better to go with it than to pay interest on a card.

Just be sure to have it fully paid off within the time they give you or they will retro what the interest rate amount would have been over the past 12/24 months and put that on your balance.

A lot of the local furniture stores etc here do that and makes it a pretty good deal when you have a large purchase and can pay it off over time without interest.

The store financing such as 90 days same as cash... is a suckers bet... the store has marked up the items, plus they are betting the fact that you won't be able to pay off the loan in 90 days so all the interest comes into effect from the first day of the loan.

Best bet, pay cash!
