This is a very good question. God does not get angry over such things. In fact, He may use the second spouse to bring the family to Christ. It happens. It happened in my Family.

We take the marriage covenant way too lightly. The original design was for one man to marry one woman and that they remain married as long as they live.
Think what would this world be like if there were no direction concerning our relationships with one another. Either God's design is good and right, or it is wrong. If we adjust right and wrong standard, who is to say what is right and what is wrong. Eventually, marriage will be meaningless. We might as well negotiate a limited contract. "Okay, so we're good for 30 days, anal sex only 3 times a week at 9:30 PM to 10:00PM, no procreation, no kissing, you have full access to _____ and ____ but ____ is out of bounds.
The whole point of marriage is to teach us the intimate aspects of a relationship with God. Do you suppose God would allow you to make a contract like that listed above with Him? Then be free to worship any other God thereafter?

God is merciful. He has allowed divorce because of the hardness of our hearts. We are allowed to divorce but it isn't what He designed. He says that the leaders of our church should be men of one spouse, having control over there families. If you can't run a smooth household, there is no way you're able to run a church. You will find acceptance in the church, and you can even find churches that have as flippant an attitude about divorce as the secular world does. But the real question is; what does God say in your heart about your divorce?
There are a couple of legitimate reasons for divorce. One is infidelity. It doesn't have to mean you should divorce but it does give you an out if need be. The other is if you or your children are endangered by the marriage.

The bible gives certain guidelines for circumstances where it is permissable to divorce and remarry....but it also tells that God hates divorce.
24:1 “When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, and she departs out of his house,2 and if she goes and becomes another man's wife, 3 and the latter man hates her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter man dies, who took her to be his wife, 4 then her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after she has been defiled, for that is an abomination before the Lord.
Matthew 5:32 But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery
I have been married 3 times, (divorced once and widowed) and I am the happiest now that I have ever been in my life and I know God has blessed my husband and I.

Malachi 2:16 says "I hate Divorce," says the lord God of Isrial, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violance as well as his garment," says the Lord Almighty...
Matthew 19:3-12 ePharisees came to him, to test him . They asked, "is it legal for a man to divorce his wife any reason?" (this is jesus talking) "Haven't you read," he replied , "That at the beginning the creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife , and the two will become one flesh'? so they are no longertwo, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not seperate." (this is the pharisees speaking) "Why then" they asked, "did moses comand that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?" Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the begining. I tell you the that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfullness, and marries another woman commits adultery." the disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a husben and wife, it is better not to marry." (Jesus is talking) "not everyone can accept this word, but only those whom it has been given. For some are eunuchs beacuse they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage beacuse of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it"
I would like to keep in touch with you to see how it goes. I would just like to let you know I'm not a preacher or something of that sort just a kid who believes in God. I don't try to get in God's head but I would bring it to him and ask him

I don't know where it says only marry once. Some of the best folks in the Bible were polygamous.
In the New Testament, I believe Jesus said that if divorced, person who remarries commits adultery and causes her new spouse to commit adultery, as well.

He wouldn't be mad. Marriage is for life though. Jesus did say that if a person divorces and remarries they are causing the other person(the new spouse) to commit adultery. There are specific instances when divorce is allowed (adultery, abuse to you or the children)

(To Talha) Can WOMEN marry multiple times, or is it just acceptable for men?
As for the Bible, I dont recall anything specific about divorce/marriage. [Obviously] divorce isnt encouraged, but I doubt that it would be looked upon as a sin. Most especially under certain circumstances.

No he wouldn't be mad, that happens to a lot of people, stuff happens, people change. And I'm Catholic, though people getting a divorce is sad in some situation, but there are times when it probably is for the best.

My bible (Hebrew or Old Testament) has several cases of one man and several wives. Jacob, Solomon are just 2.
I don't remember 1 woman and several husbands.
Hebrew Testament also has rules for divorce, somewhere in Deut. (Again instituted by husband.)
