Which toolbar?

If it's not one you installed, it's possible some spyware installed it. Right clicking and checking (as guten tag suggested) may hide it, but does not remove it from your computer The spyware would still be active.

You really should be more specific! Every toolbar should come with a piece of uninstalling software (sometimes listed as 'unwise' for some daft reason...is it really unwise not to want 'Hotbar', for example?) Anyway, on the start menu, find the listing for the toolbar you have and uninstall it. Alternatively, go to Control Panel and uninstall it from there. I also recommend installing Ccleaner (brilliant free software) to get rid of every last trace...and perhaps Adaware would help if it's spyware or malware.

We would need to know more bout that toolbar, I'm sure you don't want a answer and you would do it only to see your anti virus program got delete/removed. Some programs have toolbar ‘til you remove it manually. So would help what does the toolbar says?

Also on what browser is that toolbar? Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and couple more. Each browser have their own commands for operations.

You might want to go to protonic and ask them but they would need more info. Is free, fast and they are real tech guys. From Microsoft, IBM etc etc.

if you right click in the empty space in the tool bar, a list of tool bars should pop up, then you click on the one you don't want, and it should go away.
