MY DAUGHTER IS 8 AND WEIGHS 74 LBS. AND HER DOCTOR DOESNT SEEM TO THINK ITS A PROBLEM JUST YET, I JUST TELL MY LITTLE GIRL EVERY DAY HOW PRETTY SHE IS. DONT GET SCALE FOR HER, SHE IS YOUNG AND VERY IMPRESSIONABLE AT THIS AGE IT COULD MAKE HER BECOME OBSSESED WITH IT. SHES YOUNG JUST HAVE HER RIDE A BIKE ALOT OR MAYBE GET A TRAMPOLINE THAT IS WONDERFUL EXERCISE. TAKE HER FOR A WALK JUST YOU AND HER! TRUST ME SHE WILL START TO THIN OUT AS SHE GETS TALLER. JUST DONT MAKE IT A BIG DEAL IN FRONT OF HER YOU DONT WANT HER TO DEVELOPE ANY KIND OF EATING DISORDERS. JUST REMIND HER HOW GOOD SHE LOOKS IN WHAT EVER SHE PUTS ON AND HOW BEUTIFUL YOU THINKS SHE IS THIS WILL BUILD CONFIDENCE AND SELF ESTEEM. GOOD LUCK AND DONT WORRY.

I have no idea how tall I was when I was 10 but I do know that I weighed 75 lbs. She is way to young to worry about her weight, I'm sure she's healthy.

It don't matter, she is your daughter.. She is not fat..and she is too young to have to worry about that.. Don't even press the issue..all you gotta do is make sure the food at home is healthy, and she is getting plenty of normal exercise.. like not sitting in front of the tv all the time.. ask again when she is 18.. society stresses our kids out too much too quick..

Holy Bejesus! If you are asking this question, than you must know deep down inside that is abnormal but yet you still deny it so you ask yahoo answers and you get a smartass like me who answers for ya. Seriously, I am not sure but I did date a 28 year old woman who was about 5'2 and weighed 95 lbs. But she was probably too skinny so it is hard to get an good answer for ya.

When I was 10 I was probably 4' 8" and around 75-80lbs....I think your daughter is pretty normal. Everyone is different, she may seem to be shorter now, but once she hits puberty she will probably grow taller than her friends, who are taller than her now. She's healthy, just let her run around and play, be active!

She's only 4'6? Wow, she's a little short one! =) Well, since she seems so petite and is almost 90lbs, I'd say she's at a normal/healthy size. When I was 10, I was somewhere around 4'11 & near that same weight, and I looked fine.

According to the website below she is only a couple of pounds over her ideal weight range for her age and height. Take a look and put in her statictics and see what you get.

My daughter just turned ten and weighs 100lbs. She is 4'10" tall and I think that she looks good so I would think that your daughter is normal. Every child is different.
