I eat breakfast before I go to school and around 11 in class I get very hungry. I get a break at 10 for only 10 minutes to get stuff in my locker and hang out with my friends. Last year they sold breakfast but they stopped becuase people were running into people just trying to get in the front of the line. Does anybody have any good, snack ideas so I won't be hungry until lunch and you can eat it like to go?

Eat protein in the morning. It digests slowests, so lasts longer. This means, ham, eggs, hard or cottage cheeses, sausage, and yogurt.

Avoid sugars. They give you a temporary rush, then your blood sugar bottoms out, triggering hunger. So eat yogurts sweetened w/ sugar sub instead of sugar; diet colas, etc.

Carry a little something with you to nosh on while "hanging otu w/ your friends." Maybe a granola bar, some trail mix, salted nuts, beef jerky, dry cereal like Cirspix or Shredded Wheat Squares... anything you don't have to refrigerate or heat up.

a bag of shredded miniwheats, cheerios, or honey comb (whatever cereal you like). Cereal is an excellent snack sans milk. Put it in a ziplock bag in your purse or back pack and you have a handy energizing snack. I do this for work.

My daughter likes roasted vegetables wrapped in tortillas and sliced. She keeps them in the refrigerator to snack on. you may dip those on your admired salad dressing in case you want. they keep for countless days.
