Ok this girl i like sent me and email, replying to mine on asking her how she felt about me..heres what it said
hey,
well first of all, I don't hate you. second, I haven't been avoiding you either becuase its not been just swimming that I've been busy with its been life.I also haven't been beating around the bush because you never asked me if I did or not. But I haven't ever thought of being more than friends with you because we've always been good friends and I think thats how things should stay.I just don't want to ruin a friendship.hope you've had a good day, and i will talk to you later

Now, shes 13, and I'm 15. She used to be all over me, but then backed off. Her and her mom are really close, and her mom told me she want me to date her daughter, she said that she is just really scared of ruining the friendship. Now based on this email, do you think she is just scared, or do you think she is letting me down easy, and what should i do? without smothering her??

I say listen to her. She says she just wants to be your friend. Move on. If she does end up liking you more than a friend you'll find out soon enough. You're young. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Find another one. = )

Just tell her that's fine but if she could consiter it that would be great. All friendships are not ruined by a relationship. My ex is currently my best friend...you can use that story if you like. Just keep being there for her, and every month or so (not too much, maybe less than that) ask her if she changed her mind. She'll come around if she likes you.

If you want to try something...keep being a really good friend, but ask her to more date-ish type things--movie, one-on-one stuff. If she gets uncomfortable, STOP. But that's an easy way to just ease into a relationship. One day if this works insist on paying. It's almost like a trick-date, but nicer. If she gets really upset, of course stop. Don't push her at all--at 13 she will run like hell if you scare her.

back off. girl will be girls and don't like to be rushed. give her some time. and make up your mind, do you want her as a g/f then give her time. you want her as a friend apologize and make up, your approach for ebing a friend should vary as you trying to be a b/f. be warned that boy and girl can't be just friends.
