I am planning to do a destination profile for Bali, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore as part of a service to travellers and visitors to these places who are part of my regular travel community.

We want to get interesting tit bits and insider information as well as some mainstream information on these destinations to share.

Can anyone help with some sources whether this be print or online?

Have you tried doing a search on it,usually most places will have a breakdown of the hot spots in their town. Or go to one of those travel websites and put in the destination and they should have the most popular things to do listed. But I think the best thing for this would be to contact a local if you know any. The local people will have all the hot spots that the travel agents miss.

What kind of destination profile do you want? Most of the information about this region can be found online..
For Singapore, the Lau Pat Sat is going to shift to a new places in Marina Bay, by September or October.

Hey, what is better than to go and seek for yourself? I find that there are too many instances where the writer is privileged to include certain eatery in his review but that eatery is just plain as the rest. I personally prefer to go and try anything that strikes me, where food is concerned. Taste varies widely from person to person, more so when privileged to write about a joint.

As for shopping, likewise, when I am overseas, I like to follow the local masses. They will lead you to shops and places no visitors will know about. I think these will be the best things you can do for your own site.

You have to set your site apart from the rest, otherwise, I might as well use the other sites instead of yours, if you cannot value-add above the others.

Just my pointer. Cheers.

(You will definitely enjoy doing this yourself!)
