Our mini schnauzer seems to be having some form of seperation anxiety. he does not like to be left alone in a room when we are home. He seems to do fine when we leave for work, but if we need to put him up (or out) for a while he has a fit. He yelps (a painful...sad yelp) and he continues until we come and get him. We have tried to ignore it, but i am afraid that the neighbors will soon have enough. Plus, it is really bad in the morning if I need to put him up and my hubby is trying to sleep.
any suggestions?
He doesn't even like it when we shut the bathroom door! We are gone most of the day but we spend time with him immediatelyh upon return from work (walks, and playtime) and we play with him during tv time (lol).

I do play with him a short time in the morning after he has eaten breakfast and had his potty break. I know he is just really excited in the morning. We do sometimes leave the tv and the radio on.
The problem is mainly when we need "people" time at home.
(for example... i can't bring him in the bath while i take a bath because he tries to drink the water...if i close the door he pounds on it and cries)
