LCDs are not keeping up with plasma. I think no matter how big LCDs get, plasmas will be bigger. Not long ago the largest LCDs were in the 35" range, now they are in the 45" range. However, plasmas are getting as high as 70". Once you get to 50", rear-projection TV get cost and weight effective. (Those big plasmas are heavy and use a lot of power.)

lcd stands for lcd. An lcd television has liquid crystal between the reveal panel of the television, which gets activated while an electric powered present day is provided to it. The LED television works on the comparable liquid crystal platform, yet gentle-emitting diodes (LED) are used because of the fact the back-gentle for this television the traditional lcd television makes use of a CCFL back-gentle. A plasma television works on a thoroughly diverse platform. A plasma television has a sheet of guy or woman plasma cells, which get activated while electricity is surpassed to the television. as a result we are able to work out that the Plasma and lcd technologies are thoroughly diverse, mutually as the version between the lcd and LED is in simple terms the back-gentle, which they use.
