The difference is Islam teaches abt Peace, Love, Harmony & Humanity. Maybe if u do some research on ur own, before asking such questions. Read The Holy Quran with an open mind and with understanding, Read Sahih Hadiths (Books of Prophet's Sayings), Research through Authentic Reliable Books & Sites (Don't count on those that defame Islam, 'coz they only spread misconception and misinformation abt Islam, and can't even back up their comments with sufficient proof, thus totally rumbling falsehood). u don't have to believe anyone's hearsay (Not even mine), DO this research on ur own, and u will come to know of The Truth. May ALLAH (GOD) Guide u on The Path To Seek The Truth. Peace to All.

It is socially acceptable for men in the Middle East to hold hands (non-romanitc) or even walk arm-in-arm. It's not a sexual thing at all.

To equate that with the overt sexual displays on Castro St. is laughable.
