"I was praying about whether I should divorce my wife and then later that night, there was a terrible storm!!! I filed the next day...I never ignore Gods messages!"

Isnt that the type of "relationship" people mean when they talk about their delusional belief that they have a neat little relationship with God?

When people claim that God talks to them, a few real super wackos literally mean "talk" as in loud booming voice, but most mean the ole-tea-leaf experience. God's sending little hidden signals.

They imagine a conversation one day, where God says "of course i answered your prayer, didnt you notice the fat lady in line behind you at Savons sneeze everytime you thought of your high debt? I was telling you to become a doctor cause I was gonna make it all easy and get the loans approved."

Unfortunately, people marry or get in relationships with simpletons like this...naturally, any problem along the way is quickly dechiphered as God's message...nice way to live.

I would rather marry a kind and loving Christian who abides by the Word of God.

I'm glad my husband is a realist. Although we have a spiritual walk, we do not look at signs; we are very grounded....I could not stand being married to a flake that takes everything as a sign. That would drive me crazy...

And I would say neither. Both are very hard to deal with, so stay single!

Oh btw it sounds like this is a personal experience....are you ranting or asking a legimate question?

Realist.

I don't care about religion a person has, and if they have mental health issues that is fine too.

However, someone who is in denial of reality is not stable enough for me. It would be too difficult to trust them, so nope.
