Why?
There are plenty of companies who have spend years of research and time to put stuff on the shelf. So why play in the basement lab? Go to the store and spend $5.

Take a teaspoon of (pharmaceutical)sulfur and molasses or honey for three days at the beginning of spring , then about July and the Tics , flies , mosquitoes , chiggers and fleas will avoid you for the year. You could take another does a week or so before hunting season just for a booster.
This will work for your dogs , horses , Calv's etc. Just watch at first for signs of allergy as in sulfa drugs.

What you would have to use to have it be effective is way too toxic for people. Those little buggers are everywhere. Moving is the only alternative.
