How about a little rat hair with your peanut butter? A fly head with your macaroni and cheese? Though it may sound disgusting, these things and other gross filth the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) calls "natural contaminants" are indeed allowed and present in your food.
Mouse Bread
Gross but true: A certain number of rodent hairs are allowed in the food you eat. (A whole mouse, however, is not.)
In fact, so common are these contaminants that the FDA has published a booklet detailing the so-called "Food Defect Action Levels," which were needed, according to the FDA, " ... because it is economically impractical to grow, harvest, or process raw products that are totally free of non-hazardous, naturally occurring, unavoidable defects.
So go ahead and eat your bug because believe you have, and will eat, many more.

Some people eat bugs without any harm let alone something they touch. What species is the bug?
Most likely the pasta will not harm you, but I would personally toss it out because I just don't wish to eat insects or things they touch. That is just a personal preference. It is not a logical reason.

Tell it to spit it out - it's yours!
More seriously some bugs carry diseases so it's not a good idea to eat it if it's live but in the main it's a natural revulsion to bugs in food that's the problem.
Boiled bugs are eaten in some countries where they are considered a delicacy.

You know, most of these guys who say eat it anyway, would probably hurl if it happened to them. For goodness sake, throw it away! Protein my foot! If they were so high in protein, why do those children in Africa starve? They've got bugs aplenty, sometimes up to five inches long. They should be the most nourished kids in the world then, no?
Trust me... it's not worth the pasta its cooked in.

Sure....the pasta really won't affect the flavor of the bug.The bug should still be tasty, and full of nutrients if it wasn't cooked too long.Just eat around the pasta.
