The Messersm. Bf 109 was the greatest dog fighter of all time.... 6 of their aces had over 200 kills. One of them, Erich Hartmann, destroyed 352 Russian planes. They flew, and racked up staggeringly high scores over North Africa, France, the Soviet Union, Great Britain, Poland, and, in the end, Germany itself. Two hundred aerial victories each. By comparison, the top U.S. aces of World War Two achieved twenty or more.

Eric Hartman is top dog at 352 kills for the Luftwaffe. A Me- 109 driver & one of the few to have earned the Knights Cross With Diamonds. The highest award in WW2 Gremany.
All of his kills were on the Eastern Front vs. the Russians. Unfortunately he was captured by them in 1945. He was held as a prisnoer till 1955!!! 10 years after the war. It's doubtfull anyone will top his score ever.
