My philosophy is that it makes no difference which religion you have, as long as it works for you then that's great. I could care less what people believe or don't believe, just as long as they don't try to tell me I'm wrong or try to impress their ideas onto me. So for those of you who do those things, why do you do it?

Furthermore, you atheists who accuse believers of being brainwashed, why do you care? And you believers who accuse atheists of being immoral, why do you make such a rash generalization?

I agree with you totally. However, the Christians feel it is their duty to make sure that everyone accepts Jesus so they don't go to Hell. The Atheists want to stop the Christians from being brainwashed. Both think they are doing a service to the other. Ok, well some Atheists just do it to make the Christians mad but that is a whole different story.

Easy. Because atheists are wrong. So are you.

Your philosophy will not save your eternal soul. Although "religion" is more or less subjective, TRUTH is completely and unalterably objective. The truth is true regardless of who believes what, so you're close in not caring what other people believe. What people believe can never define what is true.

Believers who accuse atheists of being immoral are wrong, too. Atheists believe there is no God. Immoral people are immoral. Sometimes these two groups are the same people. Many times believers are also immoral. Many atheists are moral.

By the way, the truth really is in the person of Jesus Christ, whether I or anyone else says so or not. Just in case you care.

That's how it is all over the world.
If you are or do not believe in a G.O.D then you are a sinner, and go to hell.......
Isnt hell here on earth?
If it isnt then why killing, stealing, cheating,
greed,power,sickness,poor,dying..war....etc.

Really why should we all let man condemn us,when we all condemn ourselves
I wonder can there ever really be world peace?
Will people actually ever find a middle ground were they respect one an others opinions, way of life, freedom to choose what they do or don't believe in.

If there really is something to believe why not try peace everywhere.

I think you had a great question...if am derailing off of your question..I apologize

Anyhow, have a beautiful day

5,*'s from me to you

I don't fit any of those categories. I believe in Love.

As I see it, we need to find ways to bridge the gap between theism and atheism, as we are all sharing this planet and there is no reason to believe we won't be sharing this planet for a while.

If we cannot find a way for -good- people who share a belief in each loving the other as we would be loved to cooperate with respect and love, then whom do we expect to help our poor planet and all life on it?

I agree with you!!!

I've always stood by the saying each to his own

However what I do not appreciate is being told I'm immoral because I've not accepted Jesus etc. Judgment seems a little ridiculous when they say Only God can judge you.

"Furthermore, you atheists who accuse believers of being brainwashed, why do you care? "

We care because the "brainwashed" are voters just like me and you. We don't really like laws enacted by, vote or by elected officials, which subjugate behaviors and rights based on beliefs, instead of evidence.

It is the duty of a good christer to spread his nonsense to the rest of the world. They have to preach their gospel, it's their law.

And as an atheist, when someone confronts me with such silliness, I will respond with my opinion of their mental state.

Stimulus - response. Blame the stimulus first.

You know what? you're absolutely right. I'm gonna start answering only serious questions from now on. I'm sick of people posting questions just to bash on someone's beliefs.

I don't criticize anyone. I simply defend my beliefs when they are attacked.
