Great question! I have read the book several times and honestly can't say for sure. I know that in the book, the main character, Montag, quotes the constitution, so i'm sure it's in the United States. He also talks of riding the subway so that means a bigger city. It also takes place in the future. Hey--that could be now because the book was written in 1953!
