Please research this further before proceding. It is illegal to own these in many areas. They can never fully be trusted as pets, and may attack children when playing. If they attack your or other children in the neighborhood, you will be in a huge legal mess. Rabies vaccines are not approved for them, so they are always assumed to be carrying rabies. It is just not worth it.
If you like that wild look, consider getting an Alaskan Malamute, A Norwegian Elkhound, a German Shepherd in the the wolf sable color, or a Siberian Husky. You can find responsible breeders at www.akc.org.

NOT a good idea. In most places, it is illegal to own a wolf - it's a wild animal and you need a special permit. Same goes for hybrids; just because they are crossed with a dog doesn't make them safe pets. They can be dangerous and unpredictable in a human environment. Better to get a job at a licensed wolf sanctuary if you love them.
Also, the liability of owning so-called "dangerous" dogs is enormous now - you may be unable to get a homeowner's insurance policy if you have a wolf or hybrid. If it bites some innocent person, you can be sued for everything you own or even go to prison for criminal negligence.
According to the fatal dog attacks statistics, 5% of them were by wolf-dogs - which is a LOT considering how few of them there are.

A hybrid wolf is still a wolf - a wild animal - one that can never be truly trained or truly trusted. They can revert back to their instincts. Like their cousins in the wild, they are quick and strong. They can attack before you know it.
They are attractive animals, but, buy a poster to look at, not an animal that does not belong in anyone's home.

U really need to check with ur states laws and regulations before trying to find one of these gorgeous animals. A wolf is my favorite wild animal, but that is where they need to stay is in the wild. Unfortunately alaska and Idaho right now are going to be slautering the wolves in their states and they need to be left alone.
I owned 2 hybrids. One was typically mean toward anything or anyone but me, and the other that was wolf and malamute gorgeous creature was as sweet as he could be and would not harm a fly on anyone or anything, but it is unpredictable like i said they are wild animals. I named him arrow and he was the most loyal and loving, but he was one of a kind they are not meant to be as pets and need to be left alone.

I can only tell you what a vet told me...If you have or plan on having kids in the next 10-15 years, it is recommended that you don't have one. But here is a website I know of from a friend, he has no kids and has two. One is 80/20 husky/wolf the other is 90/10 wolf/husky. The 90/10 is meaner than snot. But the husky mix is a sweet baby. He purchased both from using this site. Just remember to socialize, socialize, socialize. Hope this helps.

I would never own a wolf of any kind. No matter whether you raise them from a pup with all the love you can give them, they will always be a wild animal of prey and can kill at any time without provocation.
