this is a statement not a question, but you are free to say whatever you'd like.
I'm atheist and I'm sorry for making any others mad here. We should realize though that this forum has descended to a vicious circle. Atheists diagree with a religion and debate it, then Christians or Islamics, or for that matter other Monotheists say we go to hell and we keep insulting each other. But can't we just stop?
Being told that we have a demon in our hearts doesn't make us want to be Christian, we atheists do not wish to deny Christ. And personally Christ was a wise man in my eyes. But I do not believe he is the Messiah. When you say that we are told that we are doomed to hell, and I don't care what people say, that stings at least slightly. Who wants to be damned to hell after all?
So sorry. For my own mistakes and my own intolerance.

Well said! This religious forum has more arguments, hate, and bigotry than I've ever seen. It is really hard to accept that it is "religious" As far as I know, almost all religions teach peace, love others, etc. We should all be worried about the beam in our own eye, than the mote in others.
I tried posting something like this under "Have I offended anyone on here?" and I got some good replies, but it was taken off because it was "conversational" I hope that doesn't happen. You have a great point.

I don't think I've told any Atheist or someone from another religion or belief system that they are doomed to hell. Hope spring eternal and up until the last click of the mouse and tickle of the keyboard, those who do not have a saving knowledge of God through Messiah by the Spirit are fair game for convincing their heart may need to be softened by water and wine and oil. You catch nothing with vinegar except a yeast infection.
Think nothing of it.

Valkyrie,
I didn't see what happened here as I just logged in today, but I am very thankful for apologies such as yours. It takes a mature person that ability to do that. And if more of us agree with you, perhaps we can reduce some of the tensions on this board.
And you are not alone. I'm guilty of it at times too. I try not to let my tongue get the better of me sometimes, but I sometimes post in anger as well. And I'm sorry if I offended anyone with any of my remarks as well.
I can see why being told you are going to hell would be offensive. Although I have my beliefs about how you get to heaven, I agree that you cannot just come out and say to a person they are going to hell. It wins no one over and it can only hurt the person and damage any chances of getting that person won over.
Thanks for reminding myself and other people of just how important it is to walk in love.
Blessings to you and I hope at some point, you will chnage your mind about Jesus as the Messiah. Because I know what He has done for me, and I hope that someday you will want this relationship as well.
Blessings to you.

Thank you for your appology. I appreciate it. Jesus didn't try to scare anyone into believing in the Lord. He didn't "threaten" others with hell either. He treated people with compassion and love. This behavior and His knowledge of the Lord was enough to draw followers. I wish everyone on this site would learn to accept and tolerate others for who they are and not for what they believe. I'm so tired of being hated by people who have never met me - simply because I'm a Christian. I don't hate atheists, Muslims, or anyone else with beliefs different than my own. I think you're a great human being simply because of the imput you just gave to this site!

Hi...I believe in God and I am not a Christian. I do not believe everyone who believes differently from me is going to Hell. Not all religions are all about being scared of going to Hell. Just wanted to let you know that :)
p.s. everyone makes mistakes.

First off, I have never told anyone they're going to hell, that's His call, certainly not mine. I realize there are a lot of judgmental christians here, and just as many judgmental atheists, but I feel its best not to judge anybody at all. Ignore the ones who tell you you're hellbound, they couldn't do it if they wanted to.

Religion is a very toucy subject. It needs to be compassionate. The only advice I can give you is to search things out for yourself asking in your heart to find the truth. If you really want to know it will come to you. Don't listen to those bashing on you becaue they are not right in their own heart if they say it with fighting or uncompassionate words. hope it helps
